Accessibility statement

We want qaveridia.online to be usable by as many people as possible, and we aim to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA. This statement records what has been checked, how, and what has not been checked yet.

Our target

Our design and build aim at level AA of WCAG 2.2, the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. We describe that as a target, not a claim of conformance, because the testing below does not yet cover everything a conformance claim would need.

What has been checked

These checks were carried out by the site's editor in November 2026, before launch, using automated browser scripts and manual review of the results:

  • Keyboard focus. A scripted run that pressed Tab through every focusable element on twelve pages, including the four free tools and the contact page, and confirmed each element showed a visible focus outline with a contrast of at least 3:1 against its background.
  • Text contrast. Computed contrast for text across every page at desktop and phone widths, against the WCAG 2.2 AA minimums.
  • Reflow. Every page loaded at 320 CSS pixels wide to confirm there is no sideways scrolling.
  • Target size. Buttons and form controls measured at no smaller than 24 by 24 CSS pixels, with main buttons at least 44 pixels high.
  • Without JavaScript. Every page loaded with JavaScript switched off to confirm content and navigation remain available; the tools show a printable alternative.
  • Structure. Every page checked for a single main heading, headings in order, a language attribute, a page title and labelled form fields.
  • Forms. The tools and the contact form checked for visible labels, error messages in text that link to the field, and keyboard focus moving to the error summary or result.

What has not been checked yet

  • Screen reader testing has not been carried out. We plan to test with at least one screen reader and browser combination on Windows and one on a mobile device by 31 March 2027, and will update this statement with the results.
  • Testing with disabled users has not been carried out.
  • Speech recognition and switch access have not been tested specifically.

Known limitations

  • The illustration in the home page header, which shows a sample inspection report with sticky notes, is decorative and hidden from assistive technology. Its content is illustrative and is not real data, so nothing is lost by skipping it.
  • Tables of sample data on the home page and examples page scroll sideways inside their own box on small screens rather than reflowing. The tables have captions and headers, and the box can be scrolled with the keyboard.
  • The handwritten typeface used for sticky-note text is decorative and used only for short labels.

Feedback and contact

Technical details

The site is static HTML and CSS with a small amount of JavaScript for the menu on small screens and for the free tools. It relies on HTML, CSS and, for the tools only, JavaScript. It has been built to work in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 4 November 2026 on the basis of the checks described above, carried out by the site's editor. It will be reviewed after the screen reader testing planned for March 2027, and whenever the site changes significantly.
