Terms of use

These terms apply when you use qaveridia.online, read its guides or use its free tools. Testing work for clients is governed by the written scope and quote for that work, not by these terms.

Who we are

This website is published by Qaveridia. You can contact us at hello@qaveridia.online.

Using the site

You may read, print and share the pages on this site for your own use and your organisation's internal use. Please link to a page rather than copying it wholesale onto another website. Short quotations with a link back are welcome.

You must not use the site in a way that damages it, interferes with other people's use of it, or tries to gain access to parts of it that are not public. You must not use the contact form to send unsolicited marketing, malicious content or other people's personal data without their permission.

The guides

The guides describe good practice for testing websites as we understand it on the date shown on each page. They are general information, not professional advice for your situation, and they are not legal advice. Standards, laws, prices and products change. Where a guide refers to a law or standard, check the official source before relying on it, and take advice from a qualified adviser on whether a rule applies to you.

The free tools

The browser tools listed on the tools page are provided free of charge, as they are. They run in your browser and store nothing on our servers. They help you organise testing; they do not test anything themselves, and their output is only as accurate as what you enter. You may use their output for any purpose, including client work.

We may change or withdraw a tool at any time.

Testing services

If you engage Qaveridia to test a website, the engagement is governed by the written scope and quote we agree with you, including its payment and cancellation terms. Nothing on this website forms a contract for services on its own. Prices and starting points on the pricing page are guidance until confirmed in a quote.

Intellectual property

The text, design, code and images on this site belong to Qaveridia unless stated otherwise. The typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font License; each licence file sits beside its font. Names of browsers, platforms and products mentioned on this site are trademarks of their owners, and their mention does not imply any endorsement or connection.

Guides point to standards bodies, regulators, vendors and other sources. Those sites are run by others; what they publish, and whether they stay online, is outside our control.

Our liability

Care goes into keeping the site accurate and online, but no promise is made that it will be online at every moment, free of errors or current on every point. So far as Irish law permits, Qaveridia accepts no liability for loss caused by relying on the guides or tools here, or by the site being offline.

These terms leave untouched any liability that Irish law does not allow to be limited, such as liability for fraud or for negligence causing death or personal injury. Consumers keep all of their statutory rights.

Privacy

How we handle personal data is explained in the privacy notice, and cookies in the cookie notice.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page, with its "last updated" date, is the one that applies.

Law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. The Irish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute, except that if you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
